enthusiasts, The Galloping Goose Trail is a 55 kilometer (33
mile) cycle route extending from downtown Victoria and
proceeding along the old rail line west to Sooke BC, all at no
more than a 3% grade. Within a 45-minute drive west of the
city, you can enjoy Nature's Gallery, East Sooke. Enjoy the
hiking trails through pristine rainforest to the ocean's edge
in East Sooke Regional Park, watch for bald eagles or charter
a fishing boat and fish for salmon and halibut.
